Over the COVID-19 pandemic, the Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ staff has been assembling online resources to aid our members and friends who have been asked to adapt to online teaching. We encourage you to share online resources, websites, teaching aids, guidelines, or advice that you feel could be useful to Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ members or the public. Please email Marta Ostovich (programs@asor.org) with any resource links you would like to share. We also welcome your suggestions and offers to volunteer in helping us set up these resources (webinars, tutorials, etc.). The following page is a work in progress and we are extremely grateful to all of you who have already contributed!
Online Teaching: From Triage to Best Practices

The Early Career Scholars of Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ presented a virtual brown bag lunch entitled, “Online Teaching: From Triage to Best Practices” on Thursday, April 2, 2020, at 12 PM to 1 PM EDT. More senior and early career scholars joined forces to discuss online vs. face to face course design, synchronous vs. asynchonous course elements, intellectual property etc.
Our panel of experts included Sarah Norris, Scholarly Communication Librarian (Digital Rights) at the John C. Hitt Library, James Paradiso, online curriculum designer at the University of Central Florida, Center for Distributed Learning, and experienced online instructors, Tine Rassalle, University of North Carolina and Tiffany Earley-Spadoni at the University of Central Florida.
