Supporting Libyan Responses to Storm Daniel through Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ Mini-Grants

Through support from the U.S. Department of State, Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ partnered with Libya’s Department of Antiquities to document and repair flood damage at the archaeological sites of Cyrene, Ptolemais, and Tocra in eastern Libya. These locally led projects reflect Âé¶¹Ö±²¥â€™s commitment to supporting Libyan efforts to protect their heritage from natural disasters.

Sudan National Museum Access Project Update

Since launching in January, Âé¶¹Ö±²¥â€™s Sudan National Museum Access Project has made steady progress in strengthening site security and restoring key infrastructure at the Sudan National Museum in Khartoum. This work is being carried out in close collaboration with Sudan’s antiquities department, the National Corporation for Antiquities and Museums. Over the last three months, the work has focused on two main priorities: repairing a damaged enclosure wall and clearing the property’s sewage drainage system.
