[/vc_column_text][mk_skill_meter title=”We have raised $6,295 of our $6,000 goal!” percent=”105″ title_color=”#000000″ progress_bar_color=”#2f2f80″ track_bar_color=”#eeeeee”][mk_divider][vc_column_text]Our goal was to raise $6,000 during March—enough to fund 3 fellowships—so that we can award a total of 26 fellowships for summer excavation. WE DID IT TOGETHER. Thanks to your generosity we raised more than we did in March 2018!
Since 2007, with the generous support of our members and donors, Â鶹ֱ²¥ has awarded over 635 fellowships, grants, scholarships, and travel awards. These fellowships and grants total just over $750,000, and they have enabled students and scholars across the Near East and the Mediterranean to uncover the past and to broaden our knowledge of the ancient world.
This year, YOU gave the tools that fellowship recipients need to succeed in the field!
Each tool below corresponds with a giving level. The Pickaxe was the most popular tool chosen (purchased) to help excavate the mosaic artifact below! Â鶹ֱ²¥ is fortunate to have many generous members and friends.
Want to continue helping young scholars in the field? Click on a tool to navigate to our online store where you can type in your donation amount. Select “Excavation Scholarships” as your gift purpose:
Below is an artifact a dig fellowship participant carefully uncovered using the tools you donated this past month. Every gift contributed to the work.

Please also remember: we have a matching gift of $450,000 for the new office building that requires 450 donors to donate $10 or more to Â鶹ֱ²¥ by June 30, 2019. Every donation to a fellowship counted towards this challenge—so every dollar you gave helped support both fellowships and the new office building![/vc_column_text][mk_divider][vc_progress_bar values=”%5B%7B%22label%22%3A%22Brush-%22%2C%22value%22%3A%224%22%2C%22color%22%3A%22custom%22%2C%22customcolor%22%3A%22%235b90bf%22%2C%22customtxtcolor%22%3A%22%23000000%22%7D%2C%7B%22label%22%3A%22Trowl-%22%2C%22value%22%3A%226%22%2C%22color%22%3A%22custom%22%2C%22customcolor%22%3A%22%23b17fe2%22%2C%22customtxtcolor%22%3A%22%23000000%22%7D%2C%7B%22label%22%3A%22Pickaxe-%22%2C%22value%22%3A%229%22%2C%22color%22%3A%22custom%22%2C%22customcolor%22%3A%22%23dda1d4%22%2C%22customtxtcolor%22%3A%22%23000000%22%7D%2C%7B%22label%22%3A%22Shovel-%22%2C%22value%22%3A%224%22%2C%22color%22%3A%22custom%22%2C%22customcolor%22%3A%22%2347a570%22%2C%22customtxtcolor%22%3A%22%23000000%22%7D%2C%7B%22label%22%3A%22Bucket%22%2C%22value%22%3A%222%22%2C%22color%22%3A%22custom%22%2C%22customcolor%22%3A%22%23dd8a0d%22%2C%22customtxtcolor%22%3A%22%23000000%22%7D%2C%7B%22label%22%3A%22Wheelbarrow-%22%2C%22value%22%3A%223%22%2C%22color%22%3A%22custom%22%2C%22customcolor%22%3A%22%2389d653%22%2C%22customtxtcolor%22%3A%22%23000000%22%7D%5D” bgcolor=”custom” units=” Tools” title=”How many tools did you give?” css=”.vc_custom_1554135591738{background-color: #ffffff !important;}” customtxtcolor=”#000000″ custombgcolor=”#ff5b5b”][mk_divider][vc_column_text]If you donate to Excavation Scholarships, you support archaeology in a very direct way.
