The William F. Albright Institute of Archaeological Research in Jerusalem is pleased to announce the winner of the fourteenth annual competition for the . This award offers $650 for the best published article or paper presented at a conference by a Ph.D. candidate in Syro-Palestinian or Biblical Archaeology. Authors may be of any nationality but the article or paper must be in English.
The winner this year is Jesse Michael Millek, a Ph.D. candidate in the Biblical Archaeology Institute and Department of Near Eastern Archaeology at the University of T眉bingen, Germany. His paper鈥斺�淪ea Peoples, Philistines, and the Destruction of Cities: A Critical Examination of Destruction Layers 鈥楥aused鈥� by the 鈥楽ea Peoples鈥欌�濃�攚as presented on 4 November 2014 at a conference on 鈥淭he Sea Peoples Up-To-Date: New Research on the Migration of Peoples in the 12th Century BCE,鈥� in Vienna. The Sean W. Dever Prize was established in 2001 by Mrs. Norma Dever and Professor William G.
